“Oops, Not Acapulco!” is a sun-kissed musical short about detours — emotional, geographic, and existential.

It follows the echo of a dream never fulfilled: a journey once imagined with someone who’s no longer here.

Originally conceived as a playful homage to the iconic Ricchi e Poveri song “Acapulco,” the project was meant to feature the voice of the filmmaker’s wife. Life, however, chose another script.

Now reborn as an original composition — lighthearted, ironic, and bittersweet — the music video transforms loss into melody, misdirection into humor, and memory into motion.

With the vibrant backdrop of imagined beaches and real longing, the film dances through places we never reach and voices we still wait to hear.
