Imitating Stanley Kubrick 2 is a short experimental film by Kostiantyn Mishchenko (USA, 2025). Over the course of 4 minutes and 9 seconds, the viewer embarks on a cosmic journey where the depths of the universe unfold to the sound of a classical Viennese waltz. The film moves between imitation and distortion, a dialogue with Kubrick’s legacy and the creation of a new cinematic language. Imitation becomes a gesture of liberation, while visual simulation turns into an autonomous artistic act.
